PURPOSE : Responsible for all warehouse stock and materials, including the ordering, receiving, storing, packing, transporting, stacking, order filling, shipping and maintaining all stock and freight records.

  • Responsible for the tasks of ordering receiving, storing, packing transporting, stacking,
    order filling, shipping and the maintaining all stock and freight records.
  • Empties inventory from delivery vehicles.
  • Places inventory in designated area on warehouse floor.
  • Direct drivers of loaded vehicles to loading sites.
  • Retrieves inventory, when needed.
  • Maintains work orders and tracking methods for inventory recordkeeping.
  • Works with others to avoid unloading congestion.
  • Cleans and maintains equipment and warehouse area in a clean and organized manner.
  • Follow all requirements of the company safety program.
  • Take personal responsibility for safety in working environment.
  • Promote safety among peers, subordinates and supervisors
  • Perform additional assignments and assume additional responsibilities as directed by the Warehouse Manager

  • At least 2 years of experience in the field or related areas are preferred.
  • General knowledge of the various disciplines and procedures utilized by the Construction industry is preferred.

  • Good knowledge of safety precautions and procedures relating to warehouse matters.
  • Working knowledge of excel and access software for recordkeeping.
  • Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Complies with and maintains company confidentiality practices and policies.
  • Interacts professionally with all company employees and outside persons.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time, use arms and hands to reach for, handle and manipulate objects.
  • Able to lift and carry materials weighing 50-100 lbs.
  • Able to climb and balance on ladders, scaffolds and other objects
  • Able to carry tools and equipment.
  • Able to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl to reach hard to access work areas.

Working conditions consists of temperature-controlled buildings or offices, outside elements such as rain, cold, and heat when working with in open environments, driving from various locations or attending meetings, etc. Noise levels are moderate to loud depending on work location.
