Job Summary
The EMI Technician will perform various duties supporting test and troubleshooting in the EMI lab in support of various development and sustaining programs. This will include Pre-qualification and formal qualification phases testing to a variety of test standards with the primary emphasis using DO-160 E/G, Airbus and Boeing.

Job Responsibilities
Duties will include but not be limited to:
  • Test set up in the EMI lab to support all aspects of testing including RF emissions and suceptibility tests and power quality tests per specificiations and engineering documentation.
  • Provide technical support to the engineering staff as required to support testing and troubleshooting hardware for EMI pre-qual and formal qualification testing. This may also include building related fixtures, cables and test/status reports as determined by lead engineer.
  • Will maintain the EMI lab e.g. EMI equipment, antennas and chambers for optimum functionality including related software requirements.

Basic Qualifications
  • Associates degree in appropriate discipline or in the absence of an associate's degree three years of related experience
  • Must have demonstrated experience with EMI testing and troubleshooting (ideally 5+ years)
  • Must have a strong working knowlege of DO160G standards per Boeing and Airbus aircraft equipment.
  • Must have cable, test equipment build experience as it relates to EMI testing

Desired skills:
  • Good understanding of TILE software is highly desired.

This position will require work beyond a regular 40 hour workweek. Candidates must be available for overtime as necessary
