We are seeking an experienced QC Mechanical Inspector for our Los Angeles District office. This position provides overall QC Inspections for one large project.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain excellent relationships with owner, architect, consultants, subcontractors and public
  • Review the on-site work in progress the majority of the day on multiple levels and areas of the project.
  • Liaise with authorities and regulatory agencies
  • Work with Inspectors, subcontractors, testing agencies, etc. to plan, coordinate and execute Quality Control activities
  • Understand and ensure compliance of work with the contract documents
  • Perform in-process QC inspections of materials, construction means and methods (workmanship), plant, equipment and QC tests for compliance with contract documents
  • Work with staff to plan and coordinate all Quality Assurance/Quality Control activities, including inspections with owner representatives, etc., by conducting meetings and producing test/inspection schedules
  • Initiates and reviews inspections pertaining to their scopes of work
  • Provide daily reports


Qualifications:
  • Professional with 10 years minimum of proven field experience in construction of HVAC, hydronic systems and controls for large institutional projects.
  • Aviation project experience preferred.
  • Leadership, problem solving, organizational ability, customer service and communication skills are required
  • Good working knowledge of the Los Angeles City Building Codes
  • Must provide documentation for eligibility to work in the United States
  • Employment with PCL is contingent upon passing a substance abuse test and LAX security background review.
  • PCL will not sponsor an employment visa for this position


Working Conditions:
  • Work may be required outside normal business hours and on weekends
  • Must be able to walk, stand, lift, climb, pull and navigate through a construction site and work in an office environment
  • Occasional travel may be required
