We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator for our Los Angeles District office located in Glendale, California. As a member of the Customer Advocacy Team and reporting to the Team Lead - System Administrator you will responsible for providing technical support to our Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego District employees.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to provide first-level contact and problem resolution for all users with hardware, software and applications.
  • Resolve as many user-reported problems as expertise permits using available tools and following procedures and policies for the handling of support cases.
  • Provide accurate and timely logging of problems and resolution for problems in the Service-Now problem management database.
  • Escalate problems as appropriate following PCL IT procedures.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and internal support staff to assure accurate problem interpretation.
  • Utilizes superior customer service skills.
  • Maintain communications with customers during the problem resolution process.
  • Build and develop relationships at the District and Job-sites to understand District Office and Job-site Technology needs, communicating and developing solutions to those needs working with the Customer Advocacy group.
  • Provide documentation and training to district and Job-sites for existing and new technologies.
  • Work with PCL Business Technology on delivering Business Technology Solutions to the District Office and Job-sites.
  • Travel to Construction Job-sites to set-up and manage all IT resources including network, servers and desktop computing resources.
  • Day to Day management and administration of District Office servers & network resources.
  • Daily management of data back-up systems.
  • District video conferencing administration and support.

Qualifications:
  • Third party software support.
  • Other duties as required.
  • 1-2 years experience in an IT support role
  • High school diploma with post-secondary education in an IT related field would be an asset
  • Knowledge of virtual computing - Microsoft Hyper V Experience with Windows Desktop Operating Systems (Windows 7, 8.1 & 10)
  • Experience with Windows Server Operating Systems 2013
  • Experience with Networking such as VPN, WiFi, Switching, Routing and Firewalls
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products (Office 365)
  • Experience working on Dell hardware
  • Focus on delivering high-quality work with exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to be flexible, organized, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills including the ability to multi-task and balance priorities.
  • Ability to improvise in an acceptable manner in order to react to a pressure situation.
  • Ability to travel to district's construction sites as required.
