We are seeking an experienced Construction Recruiter for our Los Angeles District office located in Glendale, CA. Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain working relationships with hiring managers to understand current and future recruitment needs, job vacancy specifications and requirements
• Create well written and robust job postings for open positions
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies including; internet job boards, ad placement, direct sourcing, networking and tracking candidate referrals
• Provide regular follow up with hiring mangers
• Evaluate applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers and interviewing applicants on a consistent set of qualifications
• Provide support and counsel to hiring managers throughout the interviewing process
• Efficiently and effectively fill open positions
• Respond to all candidates
• Complete reference checks
• Source salary information for open positions, create employment offers, receive appropriate approvals, deliver and negotiate offers with candidates
• Maximize the effectiveness of the company's recruitment software (Taleo) by mining the database for suitable candidates for the various openings
• Create a talent pipeline for operational positions
• Interface with the employee and hiring manager in regards to onboarding activities
• Ensure a positive onboarding experience for the new employee
• Track and report key metrics regularly
• Manager college recruiting and internship program development and implementation


Diploma or degree in Human Resources or related field, SHRM-CP and/or PHR/SPHR designation is an asset
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a high volume recruitment role
• In-depth knowledge of recruitment practices and trends
• Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Experience recruiting construction professionals in A/C/E is a requirement
• Experience with Taleo is beneficial
• Strong time management and organizational skills are required to juggle competing priorities, manage a portfolio of over 10 vacancies concurrently, acknowledge all applicants, and regularly communicate progress to multiple stakeholders
• Ability to maintain performance when faced with tight deadlines and frequent changes
• Strong communication skills with an ability to educate and influence
• Exceptional writing and reviewing skills
• Service oriented approach internally and externally
• Ability to build relationships with hiring managers and candidates
• Energetic, team-focused, results driven professional
